Moninaiset organises free art workshops for women and nursery-aged children. The workshops include dance, singing, music, drama, visual arts and practising various handicrafts.

The Moninaiset - many cultures, one Finland project is part of the URBAN II programme of the EU. Kassandra Ry implements the project in Myllypuro, Kontula, Kurkimäki, Vesala and Kivikko, in cooperation with local actors.

In the workshops, new- and mainstream-Finnish women and nursery-aged children can explore and celebrate their own cultural heritage while getting to know other cultures. The workshops approach questions related to identity and tolerance using artistic media. The workshops are run primarily by new-Finnish artists and educators. Free childcare is provided while mothers attend meetings and workshops.

Moninaiset also arranges lectures and group discussions on the customs and practices through which identity is defined in different cultures.
