ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES
• MONITA encourages artistic talents from different cultural backgrounds in many ways. Our practical work is largely
shaped by the participants themselves, who are involved in the planning and
implementation of the art events and training programmes.
• MONITA builds networks between native Finnish artists and artists from ethnic minorities.
• At Stoa the Cultural Centre of Eastern Helsinki MONITA organizes various art events:
Tales of Beauty
The Mothers of Kalevala
YamYam Festival
Horror for Kids
• MONITA takes its multicultural art activities all over the country,
with the Saturday Art Events arranged by local Martha associations.
